At TwentyTwo, we are proud to have partnered with Maritime NZ, an organisation dedicated to ensuring Aotearoa has safe, secure, clean and sustainable oceans and waterways. Recently, our tribe members Chris Ware and Matthew Peko-Fox were delighted to attend the grand opening of Maritime NZ's newly refurbished head office in Wellington, which marked a significant milestone in their journey.
The event coincided with the exciting launch of Maritime NZ's new vision, principles and outcomes statement. Maritime NZ is guided by the principle of Kaitiakitanga, or guardianship, and the new branding reflected that.
Anticipating the future, Maritime NZ collaborated with Chris Ware of TwentyTwo, who has been supporting them since 2019 in future-proofing their property solutions across New Zealand. With teams spread across multiple locations in Wellington and with a number of leases due for renewal at different times, Maritime NZ worked closely with Chris to identify optimal stay/go and new site combinations through a rigorous Request for Information (RFI) process. Their focus was on finding options that met their size and timing requirements. Chris adeptly negotiated with multiple landlords, securing outcomes that ensured Maritime's future property needs would be met seamlessly.
Chris also facilitated a valuable connection between Maritime NZ's Project Implementation Lead, Donna Ngan and TwentyTwo's Workplace Technology team, led by Matthew Peko-Fox. This collaboration proved instrumental in determining and delivering the ideal audio-visual (AV) and technology solution for Maritime NZ's new Town Hall space. Leveraging TwentyTwo's expertise, Matthew's team provided comprehensive support, from AV briefings to overseeing the integrator during the installation of their state-of-the-art AV system. They also led the independent commissioning process and extended their guidance and support to the Maritime NZ team during the grand opening event, ensuring a flawless experience for all involved, and enabling Maritime NZ staff from across the motu to be part of this very important occasion.
At TwentyTwo, we take pride in our partnership with Maritime NZ, supporting them in their mission to safeguard the oceans and waterways of Aotearoa.
